Just two days to go before we know who will make up this year's November Nine, and there's a good chance it's going to be a very tough bunch indeed. Several notable pros are still in with 78 players remaining.

Theo Jörgensen from Denmark holds the lead at this point with Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi and John Racener as his nearest rivals. Aussie Millions winner Alexander "postflopaction" Kostritsyn is in 8th place, while other players still in the field include Johnny Lodden, David Benyamine (pictured) and Peter Jetten.

Veteran Johnny Chan made the deepest run of the ex-champs, finishing in 156th place. "The Orient Express" got sidetracked running KK into AA and losing three quarters of his stack, and busted soon afterwards.

Apart from ex-winners, the Main Event will also have to do without women, as Breeze Suckerman was this year's last woman standing but busted out in 131st place.

Also, Joe Cada's record as the youngest ever Main Event winner will stand at least one more year, as the last player who could have broken it was John May but he went out in 177th place. May turned 21 on July 7, the same day when Main Event Day 1C was played. Incidentally, Coinflip pro blogger Jens Kyllönen was not so lucky: he missed the Main Event by just one day, turning 21 on July 9.

On Friday the plan is to play down to 27 players. Top 10 and some notables at this point (blinds stand at 20k/40k/ante 5k):
