Good news for fans of Maria Ho and Tiffany Michelle, as these two players are apparently forming the team of female poker pros mentioned by CBS in the upcoming new episodes of Amazing Race. The series started filming on July 12th.

There's been no official info on the participants yet, but Maria Ho was seen in some pictures posted on the RealityFanForum.com when the participants were gatherting at the LAX airport. As for Michelle, she mentioned in her blog that she's skipping the Main Event for a "very good reason", namely a month long filming project that coincides with the tournament.

It seems that Ho and Michelle were not the first choices for the female poker pro team, though. According to strong rumours, Evelyn Ng was supposed to take part but that fell apart because she's a Canadian citizen. The rules for the show state that participants must be citizens of the USA. It's been hinted that Ng's team mate was going to be Lacey Jones.

Earlier poker pros to take part in reality tv were Jean-Robert Bellande in Survivor and Annie Duke in Celebrity Apprentice.
