British player Matt Perrins proved strongest at the final table of the PokerStars Italian Poker Tour Venice final table over the weekend. In an otherwise all Italian encounter, top 3 places went to players from other countries, as Scandinavian players Johannes Söderström and Jesper Roll Witved took the other top spots.

In the last hand heads up, Söderström's pair of fours was no good against Perrins' KT when the board came 8KK 2 3.

Vanessa Rousso waved the flag for the PokerStars pros but her run came to an end in 14th place, earning her €8,000.

The tournament was a big success for PokerStars; 439 players joined the field creating a prize pool of €851,000.
