Before Phil Ivey became the poker icon he is today, he used to be known as Jerome and played underage with a fake ID in the casinos of Atlantic City. Back then, he met some nice friends, some of which still remember him and care to support him, such as the couple on the picture.

"We met him in Atlantic City when he was playing back then and we played with him there." they said. And Ivey probably impressed them a whole lot as they have been traveling to Las Vegas every year for the past 11 years to come and watch him play the WSOP.

They were there this year and gave the floor man a note to be passed to Ivey, when he got it he smiled. "Oh that was just a little note with our new cellphone number and some well wishes." the couple explained.

The couple is putting all their heart in supporting Ivey to take down the final table in November. "Oh if he wins we'll definitely have a big celebration."
