As almost everyone in the poker world expected, Mike Sexton will officially become the 38th member of the Poker Hall of Fame during the WSOP Main Event final table festivities in November. In an elite group of nominees including Phil Ivey, Barry Greenstein and Daniel Negreanu, Sexton was the only one to receive the required number of Yes votes to get elected.
No one can hardly argue Sexton's merits in the poker world. Apart from a WSOP bracelet, 47 WSOP cashes and $3.7 million in tournament winnings and playing at the highest stakes against the toughest cash game players in the world during his long career, he has done tremendous work in promoting poker to the masses.
Sexton was involved in the launching of PartyPoker and has served as an ambassador for the site, and most of all poker fans recognise him as the voice of World Poker Tour broadcasts.
Sexton got the news in London where he reached the final table at the PartyPoker World Open V. Congratulations!
