Joe Tehan's incredible run earned him the title and $725,000 at the PokerStars NAPT Los Angeles. Before beating Christopher DeMaci heads up, Tehan had busted every player at the final table.

Tehan's final table started with a double up with KK vs AK against chip leader DeMaci, and after that there was just no stopping him. Jason Mercier, Michael Binger, and the PokerStars Pro Anh Van Nguyen were among the players he sent to the rail during his super run.

Heads up started with Tehan leading 14.6m to 6.4m and it took more than two hours, but Tehan kept up the pressure and it finally ended when both players flopped top pair on a king high board. Tehan's ten kicker played vs DeMaci's four.

Tehan commented afterwards that he had never ran so well. "I won all the hands that were 50-50. It feels great. I'm happy with the way I played," he said to PokerStars Blog. The experienced tournament player is getting married in February and says he intends to use some of the money to "perk up" the wedding party a little bit. Congratulations!

Tehan has a long list of tournament cashes since 2005. His biggest cash to date was for the win at WPT Mandalay Bay ($1.03 million). At WSOP he has cashed 17 times. The NAPT win takes his total tournament cashes past the $3 million mark.
