The verbal exchange between Daniel Negreanu and Andrew Robl came to a quick end. The duo might still have a go at it in the virtual tables.

Negreanu is in Vienna for the EPT. In his blog he tells us he called Robl and they had a friendly talk. Negreanu now says he understands that for high stakes professional such as Robl tv-games are +EV-sessions. Still he feels Robl made a mistake by not straddling like the all the others did.

"I was shocked that Robl wouldn't straddle despite everyone else in the game straddling. It's a nitty thing to do and I called him on it. Sure he isn't obligated to do it, but in the interest of action and keeping everyone happy, the better play for him would have been to say, "OK boys, I'll gamble with you, but just this once", says the Canadian superstar.

Negreanu thinks the row will benefit Robl, since all the viewers are dying to see him back in the same table with Negreanu and the other bully Tony G.

Although the dust has thus settled, Negreanu is perhaps left with a little chip on his shoulder. He writes in his blog, that he will be grinding the PokerStars $100/$200 NLHE tables again and will play "whoever is willing".

Victory Poker pro Robl should be willing after what he said about Negreanu's internet-skills.
