Canadian production company HeadsUp Entertainment have announced a new poker reality tv series. The show is currently in pre-production and will hit the screens in fall if everything goes as planned.

Details are scarce so far, but the producers are looking for 12 to 16 participants in a show that, according  to the producers, "will be one of the highest rated poker programs in the North American and International television markets".

HeadsUp Entertainment CEO Kelly Kellner says, "Our market study has concluded that we can sell the series in at least 10-12 English speaking countries." Negotiations with potential sponsors are ongoing.

Previously big cash game shows like High Stakes Poker or reality shows like 2 Months 2 Million have been well received by poker fans while game show type poker shows have more or less failed, so HeadsUp Entertainment might be on to something here.
