PokerStars held a new World Record breaking tournament on Sunday, aiming to beat the previous record of 65,000 players set in July 2009. This was the first World Record event that had no cap for maximum players, and a record breaking 149 196 players entered the tournament. Over half of the prizepool were paid out by PokerStars as an overlay, when $300,000 were guaranteed in prize pool in $1 buy-in tournament.

The title of the World Record tournament goes to oskar69, who took down the $50,000 first prize.
