One of the EPT Berlin robbers has turned himself in to the police. The hunt for the other three is still on.
There was a new twist in the EPT Berlin robbery case when a 21-year old man walked into a police station in Berlin and turned himself in. Accompanied by a lawyer, the man said he was one of the four robbers who stormed the EPT event at Grand Hyatt Hotel armed with handguns and machetes.
Police are still searching for his three accomplices. Earlier the investigators described the robbers as "amateurs" and predicted that it wouldn't take too long to locate them, but so far the search has been unsuccessful.
Last week a man was held in custody suspected of involvement in the case but he was freed when his alibi proved watertight.
The robbers got away with €242,000 (approximately $330,000). In an interview with Coinflip.com (read here), dealer Jonna Nissinen described the chaos caused by the robbery.
