PartyPoker has introduced a new hold'em variant called Double Hold'em. It plays like normal Texas Hold'em with one important exception: instead of two, you get dealt three hole cards and have to choose one as your "point card" after the flop is dealt.

Double Hold'em has similarities to another hold'em variant, Pineapple, but the fact that the third card is not discarded at any point makes this a different game altogether. Any of the three hole cards can be used in your hand on the river but if you use exactly two hole cards, the point card has to be included. The point card is selected after the flop is dealt but before the betting round on the flop.

There are three ways you can make a hand on the river in Double Hold'em:

1. Using five community cards.
2. Using four community cards and one hole card which can be any of the three, meaning there are three possible combinations.
3. Using three community cards and two hole cards. The point card is always included, so there are two possible combinations.

Double Hold'em is available as limit or no limit starting from the micro levels. Try the new variant on PartyPoker.
