Nominees for the Nordic Poker Awards 2010 have been made public. The PokerStars sponsored event will be held in Copenhagen on February 15 in conjunction with the PokerStars EPT Copenhagen. Peter Eastgate (Denmark), Dag Martin Mikkelsen (Norway), Ville Wahlbeck (Finland) and Kristoffer "Sumpas" Thorsson (Sweden) are all nominated for more than one category, while the nominees for Best Online Player will have a hard time trying to best Patrik Antonius in this category.


The nominees for each country were chosen in an online vote in their respective countries. The final decision will be made a panel consisting of representatives from each country's poker media. Finland is represented in the panel by Coinflip.com's sister site Pokerisivut.com (Best Overall Affiliate at the iGB Affiliate Awards 2010).

Coinflip.com pro blogger and EPT Copenhagen winner Jens Kyllönen is among the nominees for Rookie of the Year, while Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies finished 2nd behind Patrik Antonius in Finland's public vote for Best Online Player.
