The durrrr Challenge stands 25% completed with Patrik Antonius $80,000 ahead. Recently, Antonius talked to PokerListings about his perspective and his game so far. This is what he had to say:
"I'm very happy with how I've played so far, before it started, I thought there was a very good chance that I would lose at the beginning, but I ended up winning at first and I'm now up $80,000 over 12,000 hands."
The challenge will see these titans of poker battle throughout 50,000 hands of four-tabled $200/$400 PLO on Full Tilt Poker. The match has become very popular though it is marching at a very slow pace.
"I'd almost never played three tables heads-up before," Patrik said. "I started practising three-table HU in January, not only against durrrr but against other players as well, and it went well, but I really haven't had much time four-tabling."
Patrik thought his inexperience would affect him in the challenge, however results proved him otherwise. "Now I don't think Tom has too much of an edge, He still has a small edge, because he's used to four-tabling and he's played a lot more of it."
"We'll see if it's going to be very close. Nobody's going to lose $5 million, at least."
Antonius also made the comment that we might not see any progress in the match during the WSOP. "Neither of us is going to want to play during the WSOP," said Antonius. "There's too much good action."
