Patrik Antonius last year's biggest winner on Full Tilt Poker

It was definitely the most exciting year in the history of the high stakes games on Full Tilt Poker. Patrik Antonius was the biggest winner in 2009 banking almost $9 million. From the beginning of 2009 Highstakes DB started monitoring Mixed HA tables and the statistics are an interesting read.

Most of the Patrik Antonius' $8,973,946 profit came from Mixed HA tables. HA is a variation of poker that is becoming more popular in high stakes cash games online. In Mixed HA, Omaha High and No Limit Texas Hold'em are played round by round. The second biggest winner of the year, Phil Ivey, won most of his millions in Pot Limit Omaha.

Tom "durrrr" Dwan was over $7 million below zero in the beginning of December, but managed to climb up a few million and finished "only" 4.3 million below the line. The biggest winner at NL Hold'em in 2009 on Full Tilt Poker was, surprisingly enough, Isildur1, who lost his NLHE profit plus a few million more in Pot Limit Omaha. Other interesting alias martonas was the biggest loser at the NLHE tables with a loss of $2 million.

An interesting fact is that two of the biggest losers on the site, Gus Hansen and Tom "durrrr" Dwan, played the most hands during the year 2009.

Statistics only show the cash game hands played on Full Tilt Poker, and do not include any live game winnings or tournament results. The database of Highstakes DB is not 100% accurate, and a small part of the played hands are missing.
