Yesterday we reported a row between Gus Hansen and Phil Galfond at Full Tilt Poker after Galfond made some remarks that didn't sit well with the Dane. Today's topic is some interesting comments made by Phil Galfond on Gus Hansen's playing skills.

Phil Galfond (pictured) was a guest in a radio program called Hardcore Poker Show. One of the listeners had noted that the big game online seems to revolve around the Dane these days, and he asked Phil Galfond whether Hansen is the big fish in high stakes games.

"Calling him a fish is a little bit too strong," Galfond responds, "but I think he's losing money in these line-ups."

"I think he's a very good player playing in a game of world class players", Galfond continues. He states that he doesn't want to play against players like Phil Ivey or Patrik Antonius unless there's someone else in the game who is "not quite up to his level", and obviously Phil Galfond thinks Gus is that player.

Phil Galfond adds that Gus might yet prove him wrong, but the truth is that Gus is the reason why big games are running right now at Full Tilt Poker.
