Yesterday we reported a row between Gus Hansen and Phil Galfond at Full Tilt Poker after Galfond made some remarks that didn't sit well with the Dane. Today's topic is some interesting comments made by Phil Galfond on Gus Hansen's playing skills.
Phil Galfond (pictured) was a guest in a radio program called Hardcore Poker Show. One of the listeners had noted that the big game online seems to revolve around the Dane these days, and he asked Phil Galfond whether Hansen is the big fish in high stakes games.
"Calling him a fish is a little bit too strong," Galfond responds, "but I think he's losing money in these line-ups."
"I think he's a very good player playing in a game of world class players", Galfond continues. He states that he doesn't want to play against players like Phil Ivey or Patrik Antonius unless there's someone else in the game who is "not quite up to his level", and obviously Phil Galfond thinks Gus is that player.
Phil Galfond adds that Gus might yet prove him wrong, but the truth is that Gus is the reason why big games are running right now at Full Tilt Poker.

Unfortunate for Gus is that when he lose there is no and to his bad running. He make bad decissions and bluffing to much instead of tighten up his game. But its not right or other players to comment his game.
This is a joke, it's right that Gus Hansen, according to HighstakesDB lost $-619.188 but if ou look a bit deeper in the data you will see that HA mixed is not included in this amount, here a the top 10 earning for HA Mixed
Gus Hansen +$3.500.000
LarsLuzak +$1.259.000
durrrr +$1.173.000

Patrik Antonius +$102.000

so a decent year from gus. In 2009 gus has done great here a the top 5 for 2009 now including HA Mixed, from the 20th of January.

Notice that this was before the the big pot against Larsluzak. Don't now how much he's lost since that, he does have huge swings
Right now Gus is leading the list of biggest overall winners 2009 with a staggering $4.2 million profit. He's 8th in the list of overall winners since January 2007 with $3 million profit. I wouldn't mind being as "bad" as he is.
