On Saturday Tom "durrrr" Dwan and Phil Ivey put up one of the most epic heads up battles ever seen on Full Tilt Poker. At one point durrrr was ahead by $500k but Ivey managed to fight his way back to a $179k profit in the match.
There was a funny moment when Ivey suddenly quit one table when durrrr was sitting behind a stack of $1 million, and durrrr was about to leave the table, too:
Phil Ivey: put that million back in front of u
durrrr: o ok thought u wer done there
Phil Ivey: i will be back over there in a sec
You don't win one million from Phil Ivey and just quit... Some key hands from this huge session, provided by Highstakesdb.com:
durrrr check-raises on the river with the nut flush, $335k in the pot. Video here.
All-in on the flop, $270k in the pot. Video here.
Top set for Ivey, $218k in the pot. Video here.
Bad turn for durrrr, $200k in the pot. Video here.
Although durrrr lost that $179k to Ivey, he was running good at the other HA tables and made a total profit of $500k in the morning sessions. Ziigmund was playing, too, but he had to settle for a loss of -$222k.
