Phil Ivey probably spent his holidays in not so celebratory mood, as right before Christmas the poker pro and his wife filed joint divorce papers in a Nevada court. The divorce was granted on Tuesday.


Phil and Luciaetta Ivey had been married since 2002. The couple had no children. Luciaetta has appeared in public very rarely. According to the little information there is, the two were already dating back in high school.

Ivey has often been named as the "Tiger Woods of poker" and this news has already sparked lots of jokes in the poker forums. Same can be said about the funny Full Tilt Poker commercial from a few years back (see below).
