As expected, PokerStars have announced the cancellation of the LAPT Vina del Mar event scheduled in two weeks time in Chile.


LAPT Vina del Mar was set to run from March 19 through 23 at the popular holiday resort in Chile, but it's obvious the rescue effort after the devastating earthquake will take all of the country's resources in the near future and a poker tournament is the last thing on anyone's mind right now.

PokerStars states that all players who have won a package or bought in to the event will be compensated. All enquiries should be sent to lapt@pokerstars.com.
