Online poker site BugsysClub was created by a group of private investors and launched in 2003. Unfortunately it failed to gain a large anough customer field to continue operating. PokerStars has come to tale over 180,000 players and secure their winnings.
PokerStars and BugsysClub signed a deal which states that PokerStars will take over all BugsysClub player accounts so that they do not lose their funds.
"We are saddened by the events that have lead to the closing down of the BugsysClub card room. However, we are delighted that PokerStars, the world's largest online poker site has come forward to continue taking care of our players personally." said Brian Baker, BugsysClub's CEO.
PokerStars invites all players from BugsysClub to transfer their balances and will offer some freeroll tournaments to welcome players from BugsysClub to the PokerStars community.

Yah, Pokerstars "welcomes" Bugsys players by locking up their funds and not releasing them until they earn 2500 VPP points for every $500 in their account, and giving them a year to do it until they take their funds. Some "rescue" by Pokerstars.
is this how it is going on 2CLOSE?LOL then it is a freaking joke seriously!
wow thats some info, im sure they did not include that on the press release...
Yes, that is how it's going down Bacon. I've already started playing to try to earn my money back, but according to my calculations, I have to play 200 hours on Pokerstars by May of next year to get my roll back. So ridiculous! It's not a rescue, it's a scavenge job.
I dont really blame poker stars, something is better than nothing & thats what u get when u deal with bugsysclub.I bet Brian Baker came out fine, some accts disappeared altogether.Brian Baker is a liar & a thief. What do u think happened to all the funds ? He had control of all the accts.its not that hard to deduce.
