Pokertableratings.com has discovered another security risk in an online poker software, this time at Cake Poker. According to their findings, Cake have been using weak encryption which has made it possible to steal a player's account information including username and passwords, and view their hole cards.

According to the report, risk level has been severe for those players using a public unsecured wireless internet connection; on a public secured wireless connection the risk has been moderate to high while on other types of connections it has been moderate to low.

Cake Poker Cardroom Manager  Lee Jones has responded ot the claims on the 2+2 forum. According to Jones, Cake admit they have made a serious mistake and promise to have the problem fixed in a matter of days. "I owe the entire Cake poker community an apology: I am very very sorry," Jones states.
