Steve Weinstein scored his first big tournament win at the Main Event of the Borgata Winter Poker Open in Atlantic City, receiving a winner's cheque for $658,045.

The $10,000 tournament attracted 1,017 players. At heads up stage, it was Steve Weinstein and Todd Terry with the latter starting in a 2:1 chip lead. But Weinstein managed to turn the tables, and finally in the last hand his top pair held against Terry's open ended straight draw.

Known as "Thorladen" online, Steve Weinstein is mainly a cash game player and a backer for some of the best known online players.
