The second SuperStar Showdown match was played yesterday on PokerStars and this time it was Isildur1's turn to win, besting Tony G for almost $45,000 over 2,500 hands of NLHE / PLO.

Tony had a strong start to the match and was up by $63,000 at one point. Naturally, the needles were flying:

Tony G: LOL
Tony G: u donk
Tony G: get a hand
Tony G: ure a farse
Tony G: tyhere ges another bank rlll down the drain
Tony G: LL
Tony G: i control u like a baby

Eventually the tide turned, the pots started going Isildur's way and he was already up by more than $70,000 before "the G" managed to claw some back. It finally ended with Isildur1 winning by $44,820 and Tony was decidedly more humble in chat:

Isildur1: Gg, nice playing with u
Isildur1: u really did have heart
KidPoker [TeamPro]: Congrats guys
Isildur1: so close
nachobarbero [TeamPro]: gg
Isildur1: cu guys
Tony G: all over
KidPoker [TeamPro]: Fun to watch
Tony G: I have been humilated
Tony G: well done
KidPoker [TeamPro]: Tony you are a champion for sitting
Tony G: let me go and look for my bike
Tony G: BIKE time
KidPoker [TeamPro]: I stole your bike

PokerStars Blog has a long report on the match, including more chat and lots of hand histories, like the one on the picture where Tony makes an unsuccessful bluff catch attempt after Isildur1 had turned his pocket tens into a bluff on the river.

Isildur1 is now 1 to 1 at the SuperStar Showdown matches after losing the opening match (with almost identical margin) to NL heads up specialist Isaac Haxton. Time for the next match or the name of the challenger has yet to be released, though Tony did suggest a rematch live at the upcoming PCA. Let's hope something comes out of it!
