Switzerland announced that it will be following Denmark's steps and lift its ban on online gambling. Switzerland is officially the latest European nation to allow online gambling.

The justice ministry is planning to draft a proposal to grant a limited amount of licenses to online gambling operators. The government is expecting to increase revenue by $22 million from this sector.

However, Switzerland will maintain the ban on telephone gambling and via TV.
