The first PokerStars North American Poker Tour event on American soil, NAPT Venetian ended in a win for Tom "kingsofcards" Marchese who beat early chip leader Sam Stein heads up for the title and a very nice $827,648.
The battle between these two ended in two big hands where Stein did not believe his opponent but called both times with 4th pair when Marchese was holding top pair and a rivered top set respectively.
NAPT Venetian was a great success for PokerStars, as 872 players turned up for this $5,000 event and PokerStars also secured a tv deal with ESPN.
The next NAPT event will be at the Mohegan Sun April 7 to 11.
