Players all around iPoker network hit the tables to participate in the 2 billionth hand campaign at the beginning of December. One lucky winner would take home $60,000 worth of tournament tickets and cash prizes. "Derrickki", a Finnish member on the 2+2 forums managed to take down the 2 billionth hand on iPoker. After the win, things didn't go as planned.
On the 8th of December the Finnish player "Abhyudaya" 10-tabled NLHE heads up on Betfold hoping to hit the lucky hand. Hand number 2,000,000,000 was played on one of his tables, a pop-up window about the promotion opened, and luckily enough his opponent folded the hand and "Abhyudaya" took the pot down uncontested. Everything went as planned. But then there were problems.
"Abhyudaya" writes on the 2+2 forums that apparently Betfold did not participate in the network-wide promotion, and in his opinion, it means that Betfold will not pay out any prizes. Betfold haven't answered to any e-mails regarding the case nor commented in any way. "Abhyudaya" has also contacted iPoker regarding the case, but no answer from them either.
This is not the first time Betfold has been targeted on 2+2 forums. Many players have been complaining about delayed payments and poor customer support response time since late November. Betfold is listed as a part of the independent "cage licencee", Tain Network, in iPoker website skin listings.
