Unibet, one of the largest gambling companies in Europe, announce they have been granted a license in France, allowing them to offer sports and horse betting and online poker in the new regulated French market.
"France is a fine example of the fact that opening the online market for competition is beneficiary for both the consumers and the government," states Unibet representative Liisa Matinvesi in a press release.
France opened its' online gambling market for competition in June, putting to rest the oldest gambling monopoly in the world, as offering games had been the sole right of the French government since the year 1539.
