Another tournament win for the Nordic countries over the weekend, this time at the Unibet Open Valencia where Denmark's Thomas Thang beat 360 players to take home the trophy and €138,080.

After starting the final table in 6th position, Thang made it to heads up stage and finally beat Andreas Hofmann when his 88 held against his opponent's AT despite Hofmann flopping a flush draw and an inside straight draw with the two overcards to Thang's pair.

Thang's only previous cash came just a few weeks ago at the EPT Vilamoura when he won the €300 NLHE Turbo side event for €5,631.

Next stop for the Unibet Open is London (instead of Venice as originally planned) in December.
