One of the gambling giants in Europe, Unibet published their first quarter figures for 2010 and it makes a refreshing change in the current economy. While most of the other sites have been reporting declining poker income in a market dominated by PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, Unibet Poker saw revenue grow by 6.5% to £7 million.

The company said in a statement that much of the poker growth came from successful global and local promotions. "(Unibet Open) continues to consolidate its success as one of Europe’s most popular live poker tours with 460 players taking part in 2010’s first event," the statement read.

Poker makes up 29% of all non-sports betting revenue at Unibet while the online casino makes up 57%.
