It didn't take long for Vanessa Selbst to finish off her opponent at heads up stage at the Partouche Poker Tour final table, making an easy call with queens after Raphael Kroll's shove with K6. It crowns an excellent year for Selbst.
The €1.3 million paycheck is the career high for Selbst whom many consider to be the best female player today. In April she had already won the PokerStars NAPT Mohegan Sun for $750,000. The win in Cannes takes her career total to approximately $3.7 million, behind only Kathy Liebert (5.7m) and Annie Duke (4.3m) at women's all time money list.
