The Bad Beat Jackpot at the Casino at the Empire had recently reached £222,000 when it finally hit one lucky morning at the London casino. Rupert Graham made £111,000 for having his quad sixes beaten by better quads and you can watch the jubilous scenes on video.
According to the rules of the casino, the Bad Beat Jackpot hand took down £111,000, winner of the hand received £55,000, the other players in the hand got £6,500, and every other player in the poker room got £1,400 "just for being there" so it's no wonder why the whole room erupts when the decisive king falls on the river.
