On this video students from the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany demonstrate their invention of a new kind of interactive poker game.
The invention, titled Poker Surface, combines the use of mobile phones and a multi-touch table.
Looking at the demonstration, one must wonder what's the point? It looks like a traditional card game with the only difference being that handling the cards and chips is slower and clumsier than in real life. But maybe something will come out of it, as this is only a prototype...

They use a table like this at my local casino. My friend misclicked all in and lost $200 bucks calling when he meant to fold and of course there was no dealer to correct the mistake so there definitely is room for improvement with this technology.
