As reported earlier (read the news here), Brandon McSmith is suing Face the Ace production company Poker PROductions for $85 million because they allegedly stole his idea for the show.

Pokerati.com has published a YouTube video of a Powerpoint presentation that McSmith sent them about 18 months ago hoping to get feedback on his idea for a new pokershow. It's not the most catching presentation ever (to say the least) but it reveals that McSmith's claim has a strong basis, as the format for Face the Ace really is very similar to his idea.

This is not to say that McSmith will win his case; it may very well turn out that Poker PROductions (who rejected McSmith's pitch for the show) got the formula for Face the Ace from the show's sponsor Full Tilt Poker who had been working on it long before McSmith.

Time will tell, meanwhile here's the video posted on YouTube by Pokerati. Read also some e-mail exchange between Pokerati's Dan Michalski and Brandon McSmith here.
