The biggest online poker tournament series in the world, and the only one rivalling the big live poker tours, the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker starts today. The 9th edition of the WCOOP consists of 62 events with the guaranteed prize pools adding up to a staggering $50 million.

The opening event is the $215 NL Hold'em 6-max with a $1.25 million guarantee. The event starts at 1pm ET (7pm CET) and just two hours later it's time for the $10,300 NL Hold'em High Roller.

Buy-ins at the WCOOP vary from $109 to $25,500 which you have to cough up to take part at the high rollers heads up event.

The Main Event is scheduled for September 26th at 5pm ET (11pm CET). The buy-in is $5,200 with $10 million guaranteed. Yevgeniy "Jovial Gent" Timoshenko is the defending champion.
