Swedish poker blogger Oskar Silow takes a look at Patrik Antonius and gives his opinion on what made the Finn the biggest winner on Full Tilt Poker in 2009. "He will be at the very top for years to come," Silow predicts on Expressen.se.
Silow thinks that one of Antonius' greatest strengths is that he doesn't have as much gamble as many other high stakes players. "You never see him flipping for hundreds of thousands like Ivey or Ziigmund," Silow remarks.
Instead, Antonius is very disciplined, and his tilt control is astonishing. Apart from that, he has the uncanny ability to sit down at the tables when the games are at their very best.
"Maybe he rails the games for awhile before sitting down to see how the other players are doing and what is their mental state," Silow says.
Another thing working in Antonius' favor is the fact his life seems to be in excellent order: he trains regularly, eats healthy and sleeps properly.
"He is an exemplary player and every aspiring pro has something to learn from him," Silow praises.
