As the field at the Main Event at the 2009 WSOP continues to shrink we all wonder if Phil Ivey will take down another bracelet this year. The poker player already took two bracelets in 2009 and he is one of the strongest ones remaining in the field.

On Day 6 at the WSOP fans crowded the rail everytime a player moved all-in and kept cheering big wins and gasping in shock after bad beats. The crowd for Ivey was nowhere near small and clearly he is one of the audience's favourites to win.

No testimonies from Ivey on the Main Event has been given as he seems reluctant to be friendly to cameras. “I don’t mind the spectators, I don’t mind the cameras like some people seem to think I do but on Day 1 I just didn’t want any of that.” he said after Day 1 and the message was clear enough for reporters.

As of Day 6 of the event Phil Ivey still has about 1.4 million chips with 185 players remaining; though Warren Zackey, the current chip leader, sits on top of almost 5 million chips . Out of the tournament are many notable players like Kara Scott, Vitaly Lunkin, Sorel Mizzi, Dan Harrington, Phil Hellmuth and Tom Dwan.

Soon we will know if this player will continue to make history or if he will hit the rail anytime soon. Stay with us for more updates on the WSOP.
