The World Poker Tour continues to expand, adding new exciting destinations to the tour schedule. Latest arrival to the family of WPT venues is the Corinthia Hotel, home to the new WPT Prague.
The World Poker Tour continues to expand, announcing yet another new venue in the Czech capital, Prague.
The first ever stop in Prague will be hosted by gaming giant bwin, and will be named the Prague Poker Festival.
The festivities will include a €3,500 main event, set to be played from December 1 through 5 at the Corinthia Hotel Prague.
"WPT continues its commitment to expand throughout Europe," President of the World Poker Tour, Adam Pliska, said in a press release.
"WPT Prague presented by bwin.com demonstrates our resolve to bring poker's premier tour to exceptional venues in major European cities," he added.
Apart from the €3,500 main event, the inaugural WPT Prague Poker Festival will also host a €1,100 NLHE side event and a €1,100 PLO event.
The main event will additionally be a re-entry event, like it was the case at the tour's most recent European stop in Malta.
Besided Prague, the remainder of this year's WPT schedule also includes stops in Amneville, Marrakech and Dublin.
The winners of all events will be awarded a $25,500 seat in the 2012 WPT World Championship at the Bellagio in Las Vegas in addition to the first prizes at each event.
The next event to be played on the WPT tour is the Foxwoods World Poker Finals, set to run at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, from October 27 to November 1.
