2010 will be a year to remember for Jake Cody: the young British player took down his second major title in 2010 at the WPT London, the first one coming back in January at the PokerStars EPT Deauville. Cody becomes one of the few players with both WPT and EPT titles in their belt.

In heads up stage it was Cody vs the Swede Nichlas Saarisilta-Matsson, who started in a clear chip deficit (1.9m to 4.8m) and never really threatened to overtake the lead. The game was finally settled in a setup, when Matsson 4-bet all-in preflop with AQ and Cody quickly called with pocket queens.

Kristoffer "Sumpas" Thorsson, who finished 4th, had more at stake than the other players. After winning his seat in a PartyPoker online satellite he would have received $500,000 extra with a win while other PartyPoker qualifiers would have split another 500k. Earlier this year Sumpas received the Rookie of the Year award at the Nordic Poker Awards.
