PokerStars and WPT recently signed an international television deal that names PokerStars the sponsor of WPT's season 7 when it airs in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Canada.

On more interesting news, the two parties will collaborate to create localized Spanishe/Portuguese programmes with native commentators for different territories of Latin America.

"TV sponsorship is an important part of our business, so having the biggest company in the poker industry jump on board is an exciting way to start international distribution of Season 7," stated WPT Founder and CEO Steve Lipscomb.

The WPT has a similar deal with online site Full Tilt Poker for the 26 episodes airing in the US and Mexico.
