Tom "kingsofcards" Marchese hold the lead at the WPT Foxwoods World Poker Finals after Day 4 with just 12 players remaining. Sorel Mizzi is in 3rd place.

Marchese had earlier lost a huge pot to Hoyt Corkins but got his chips back and then some at the dying minutes of Day 4. It started when the blinds were at 6k/12k (2k ante) and Marchese opened for 28k on the button. This sparked a raising war between the online pro and the wily old veteran Corkins on the big blind: Corkins 3-bet to 100k, Marchese pumped it up to 208k, Corkins 5-bet to 570k. Marchese pondered out loud why Corkins would 5-bet there instead of just shoving, but finally said, "Whatever, I'm all-in." Corkins made the call and the cards were turned over: Marchese TT, Corkins AK. The board ran QT8 2 6 and Marchese's flopped set took him back to a clear lead while Corkins was left with little more than 30bb.

Apart from Marchese, Mizzi and Corkins, Jason Mercier is also still there with about 27bb. The tournament continues at Foxwoods today, follow the updates on WPT.
