At the time of writing, 25 players remain at the WSOP Europe and Doyle Brunson is still in the mix battling for a place at tomorrow's final table. During his stay in London, Big Papa has also found time to update his blog and give his view on the WSOPE and Phil Hellmuth.
In Doyle's opinion the WSOPE should move to a different city every year. "London is just too expensive for the beginning pros to play. The Empire Casino is where we play now and it needs to be bigger," Doyle says. He believes the WSOPE would draw bigger fields if Harrah's takes his advice.
On to Phil Hellmuth, who made another grand entrance at this year's event, again dressed as a Roman emperor with body guards and scantily clad "slave girls". Doyle wasn't impressed with the spectacle. "It embarrassed me just being there," he says. "I am a poker purist and stuff like that detracts too much from what a great game poker is," Doyle states.
