Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies will play Tom "durrrr" Dwan in a 500K live challenge in London next week. Ilari told the news in his blog on Coinflip.com.
"Im going to London next monday and I will play against Durrrrr that 500k challenge there," Ilari writes in his blog. Ilari also explains that he was going to play on the next season of High Stakes Poker but was too late to let the producers know he was coming and could not get a seat at the table. "I think the heads up might be even more interesting than that f***** highstakespoker," Ilari writes true to his style.
The rules of the challenge are simple: Either player cannot quit before a total of 500 hands has been played, or the minimum buy-in of $500,000 is lost in full. The challenger chooses between NLHE and PLO, and it was an easy choice for PLO-specialist Ziigmund.
"It is a cool challenge, and it's fun to play against a good friend of mine. I think durrrr is one of the best PLO-players in the world, maybe in top 3," Ilari says to Coinflip.com. "I've been winning a lot lately and I have had a good feeling about poker lately, so of course I want to play against Tom. We agreed on the challenge today".
"But I am actually looking forward to the after-party in Jalouse or some other cool night club more than the heads up," Ilari, the official party animal of the poker world, explains.
The two high stakes monsters are known from giving a new definition to the term "high stakes" in their amazing 3k/9k PLO games during the summer. Ziigmund won the second biggest online pot of all time, over 700k, against Dwan in one of their epic clashes.
The most anticipated live heads up match of the year will take place either 17th or 18th November and will be played in London.
