What is rakeback?

Online poker sites deduct a small portion from every pot played in their poker room. This portion is called the rake.

Poker rooms will normally return part of the rake to their customers in the form of deposit bonuses, freeroll prizes, rewards etc. When you make a rakeback deal, you are still eligible for all these benefits on top of the rakeback.

How much money can I save?

An active player in mid or high stakes games may have to pay rake as much as $10,000 per month. When you make a rakeback deal via Coinflip, you will get some of this money back. If your rakeback deal is 30% and your rake in a calendar month is $10,000, you will receive $3,000 rakeback.

How do I get rakeback?

You will have to register an account with a poker room following our instructions. On our promotional pages for the various poker rooms you will find information on the rakeback offered by these rooms. For instance Full Tilt Poker offers 27% rakeback (or RB as it's often abbreviated).

What if I already have an account with a poker room?

What is "dealt" and "contributed" rake?

These terms refer to the way the rake is calculated. On our promotional pages for the various sites you will find information on which method applies to a certain site.

Contributed:
Contributed rake means you will earn rakeback from a hand if you have contributed money to the pot and you are still in the hand when the flop is dealt. Your portion of the rake is the same as your contributed portion of the pot. For example: three players are in a pot in which player 1 contributes $20 and players 2 and 3 contribute $10 each for a total of $40. The poker room deducts the rake which is $2. Your rake is calculated as follows: Player 1, $1 = (20/40) (2), Players 2 and 3, $0.50 = (10/40) (2). Thus Player 1 will receive $0.30 rakeback (30%) for his portion of the total rake.

Dealt: A player's rake is calculated per hand as the Total Rake of the hand / number of players dealt cards, ie. you won't have to contribute money to the pot to accumulate your rake. All that is required is that you are dealt cards at the beginning of the hand. If the total rake in the hand is $2 and 5 players are dealt cards, each player's rake is $0.40 = 2/5, which means they will receive rakeback $0.12 = (30%) (.40).

When is the rakeback paid and who pays it?

This depends on the poker room (it can be a fixed day in the calendar month, weekly etc.). You will find the relevant information on our promotional pages. Sometimes the payment may be late due to updates etc., but in these rare instances the poker room will inform us ASAP and we will notify players about the situation on our forum.

The poker room pays the rakeback directly to the player's account.

I haven't received my rakeback or I received less than I should have, why is that?

- Read the terms once more. Some poker rooms may apply a minimum RB or some sort of deductions from the rake. If the poker room states that the minimum to be paid is $15 and your RB deal is 30%, this means you'll have to accumulate at least $50 rake during a calendar month to receive RB.

- If you are still unsure, visit our forum and search for relevant topics on the subject. If there aren't any, contact our customer support. State your problem and remember to include your personal details plus your poker room alias so we can look into the matter.

- We ask you to consult the relevant poker room directly if you have some general questions about their rakeback policy or other concerns. If you do not receive an answer within 2-3 working days or you're not satisfied with the answer, contact our customer support. Please include the answer you received from the poker room plus your personal details and your alias in the poker room.

How can I check my rake stats?

We have a rake counter for each poker room on our site. The counter is updated daily but there may be delays due to the poker rooms. Generally there shouldn't be delays longer than 1-2 days. Your counter is updated as soon as we receive the information from the poker room.

Rake counter shows your rake during the whole calendar month even if the poker room in question pays the rakeback weekly. Your total rake accumulation is displayed on the front page. By clicking on the icon of the poker room you can see your rake stats in more detail.

FAQ regarding rake stats

How often is the counter updated?
- Normally the counter is updated daily. Previous day's rake is updated by the afternoon. This may vary due to the various poker rooms.

Why is the same sum displayed for several days in row on my detailed rake stats page?
- Some poker rooms do not provide us with the details daily. In these cases we divide the latest updated sum with the number of days it refers to. In these cases the sums will be displayed in italics.

Why is the counter not updated?
- Provided you have filled up the rake stats form on the promotional page and the counter is not updated, contact our customer service.
